Good Ole Days…… Vintage trends!!!
H&M x Maison Martin Margiela Look Book
H&M x Maison Martin Margiela collection is so beautiful that I can decide what piece I want the most. Being an accessory designer The Gloved Purse is my favorite piece it is so playful and surrealistic at best. Get ready to stand in line because I think this is collection is going to blow out of H&M.

Paris……
Back in July my boss told me that I had to prepare because I will be going to Paris, France for four days, when she told me this my mind scrambled for a bit because I have never been to Europe and Paris has always been for me the epicenter of fashion. Here I am finally getting the opportunity to shop, eat French cuisine and take in the best architecture that I have ever seen in my life.
My boss Shannon and I shopped all over Paris, Des Halles, Galleries Lafayette, Printemps, Citadel, Le Bon Marché and all of the cool boutiques surrounding Le Bon Marché and the hotel that we were staying at.
I noticed a few cool trends while shopping in Paris. It is definitely all about prints small, neat and repeat vintage prints also ornate paisley prints inspired from Etro’s current Fall collection. While shopping at Le Bon Marché I also noticed this beautiful felt cape coat from Comme des Garçons, made with structure and volume, as I mentioned in my previous post a couple of weeks ago, garments made with voluminous details would be a trend for the Fall . Of course the Isabel Marant wedge heel sneakers was every where! Santa Fe and Aztec influenced prints were on army jackets, hand beaded on bags and printed on shoes. At Printemps I also had the chance to see Yayoi Kusama for Louis Vuitton and I absolutely fell in love with her dot prints. I also went to Citadel and I love this store it reminds me of Urban Outfitters but better! cool kicks, every cool brand that you could think of including The Kooples and my favorite tee the Rick Rozay Ross panda tee.
I gathered up my courage and took the Metro (train) and went to the Eiffel Tower. I met a beautiful woman from England by the name of Jill who took a pic of me in front of the tower, I was also able to squeeze in souvenir shopping that was reasonably priced especially since the dollar has been taking a huge beating against the Euro.
Finally my last day in Paris I had a chance to go to the Musée de l’Orangerie to look at the works of Renoir, Picasso, Cézanne, Matisse, Utrillo, Monet and other amazing artists from Jean Walter and Paul Guillaume collection. When people come to Paris they usually go to the Louvre, but it was way to crowded and I really wanted to see Monet and the greats so it was worth it.
I did not get the chance to go fabric shopping but that would be the first thing I do when I come back to Paris and not for work.
Paris is such a beautiful and an amazing city I have already told my husband that I want to live here… as realty sets in you can not live here without learning the language, tragic but true. Here are a few pics that I took while in Paris capturing everything that I could from this awe dropping city.
Au Revoir

I have been really busy these past couple of weeks, first heading to Alexandria Virgina for Girls Night Out and putting together a photo shoot for the website, but something even more spectacular has happened and that is the opportunity to go to Paris. I have always been eager to go to Paris and now I actually have the chance to go.
With that being said www.sarahdjarnie.com will be up and running but I will not be able to mail out orders until I return.
Au Revoir
Friday morning my husband, mother, son and I loaded up the truck and drove four hours down to Alexandria, Virginia for the Girls Night Out event Friday night. The event was amazing. I met a lot of women from the DMV area that were absolutely cool and positive.
Girls Night Out was held in the Westin Hotel in the in the heart of the downtown area of Alexandria and Jerrise Spencer put together such an amazing event I told her that I would definitely come again, Here are a few pics!
XXXOOOO
Peace
When I design I think about ways of re-using materials and making items with a story.
In the 90’s I had a gold two-finger ring with the Mercedes Benz symbol and my name Sarah D.
etched on the top. I designed my two finger with antique brass metal hardware and leather. The two finger ring is a great piece of accessory to wear all year around.
I love cording and the trend has been around for awhile but I have never seen rope climbing earrings, I love the colors! I only made few pieces, I will be posting them on the website this weekend.
The ” I Was Once A T-Shirt” Hoops what more can I say, this is recycling at it’s best.
In a couple of weeks I will be going to Paris and I am excited, so I decided to make a pair of earrings that exudes my love of France!! The Eiffel Tower and Romance The Stone Rose earrings.
